Things to do in Paris with Kids: Our Review of Disneyland Hotel Paris for our Family of 5!
Living the Dream at Disneyland Hotel Paris
Our family had the incredible opportunity to visit Disneyland Paris . It was a true dream-come-true experience that we decided to splurge on, given its once-in-a-lifetime feel.
Disneyland Hotel Paris isn't just a hotel—it's an immersive experience that truly brings Disney magic to life. Upon stepping into the hotel, we were immediately enchanted by the stunning décor. Glittering chandeliers, intricate woodwork, and that sophisticated French chic design gave the hotel a regal and elegant feel. The monumental chandelier inspired by Sleeping Beauty Castle took our breath away!
It never fails to impress me how multilingual people are in other countries and the staff at Disneyland Hotel are some of the most impressive with most staff boasting fluency in multiple languages. We were not concerned about finding an English speaker when we needed help but here I am struggling to learn Spanish (Duolingo is certainly not "Duolingoing" for me!), yet many hotel employees effortlessly spoke multiple languages. It always amazes me—and makes me slightly jealous—but they must put in the work for those skills!
We started our mornings with room service breakfast, which turned out to be genuinely delicious. The quality of the food was outstanding, especially the bread—oh, the bread! To quote Oprah Winfrey, "I LOVE BREAD," but French bread truly is on another level. I packed the extra bread in one of our bags to have something to snack on throughout our day in the theme parks.
Disney storytelling with magical touches was everywhere. The welcome message on our room's TV screen displayed our family name, instantly making us feel special and welcome. And, as a family of five, we deeply appreciated the 5th bed provided in our room. The kids all fought over who got to have that bed. Disney always seems to consider the details that make family stays easier and more enjoyable, much like we've experienced on Disney Cruises.
We couldn't help but smile at the subtle Disney designs woven throughout the hotel carpets and décor—those small details that bring a touch of magic around every corner. The carpet, walls, art, everything seemed to have an intentional nod to a beloved Disney classic.
The grand staircase was a particularly heartwarming place to sit and people watch as little boys and girls descended the grand staircase into the lobby, dressed proudly in their dress up outfits. It felt like a royal experience and the parents were always beaming and filming as their child came down the stairs. The sweetest core memories around!
The convenience of having direct access to Disneyland Park was unmatched. Being able to effortlessly walk in and out of the park made our visit even more relaxing and special.
Disneyland Hotel Paris truly embodied the warmth, joy, and enchantment Disney is famous for. It's going to be tough returning to our usual off-site accommodations, but we'll forever cherish our memories from this magical stay.
In the video below, we go into more detail about using the public train system to go to and from London and the heart of Paris to get to Disneyland Paris.
